Central Defender
Dave Philpotts is an English retired professional footballer who played as a defender. He began his career with Coventry City in 1972 and later played for Tranmere Rovers. Philpotts had two stints with Tranmere Rovers, first from 1981 to 1983 and then from 1983 to 1985. During his time with Tranmere Rovers, he made a total of 211 appearances and scored 10 goals.
After retiring as a player, Philpotts served as Tranmere Rovers' Chief Scout until May 31, 2014. He has also been involved in community activities, such as participating in over-65s Walking Football to stay fit after his playing career.
